The Boogie Board Message Center is an accessory that attaches to almost any flat surface and allows the original Boogie Board tablet to be slid in for stationary use and out to take it on the go. It features a reversible cork/metallic insert and built in stylus holder. The message center can be pre-ordered through the Improv Electronics Store for $19.95 USD. A separate metallic insert with custom engraving can also be pre-ordered for $9.95 USD.

• Boogie Board 8.5 LCD Writing Tablet (custom Brookstone design)
The custom-designed Boogie Board 8.5 tablet is now available for purchase exclusively through Brookstone stores and through Brookstone.com for $39.95 USD. The design features a clear acrylic case, red or charcoal top cover plate, and integrated stylus holder.

In the early summer months, keep your eyes open for a new 10.5-inch Boogie Board tablet. This larger version has nearly 50% more writing area than the standard 8.5-inch tablet. Also due out this summer is a tablet that will fit inside most 3- or 4-hole binders, which will be especially useful for students. In the fall, look for the long-anticipated ’save’ feature to be released.

We just sent out a press release in Europe announcing this news. The Boogie Board tablet made its first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this month.

The six new tablet colors were introduced to a media-only audience at Showstoppers @CES on the evening of Thursday, January 6. Over 1300 global media members attended the event. Demonstrations of the Boogie Board tablet drew a large crowd for nearly five hours.  

Representatives from Improv Electronics also conducted numerous TV and radio interviews during the evening. These included CEO Albert Green (pictured) on the syndicated radio show Tech Talk with Craig Peterson which is broadcast to the New England area of the U.S.

In addition to the new Boogie Board tablet colors, Improv Electronics also previewed upcoming products at Showstoppers including the Boogie Board LCD Writing Tablet for Ring Binders, the Boogie Board Message Center and a larger Boogie Board LCD Writing Tablet with save. These products will be launched in 2011 along with a larger Boogie Board tablet without save and an iPod Touch Case featuring a Reflex LCD for decorative purposes.
